Reel to reel-Do you need a take up reel for every reel?
I’m new to using a 4 track, and rather than record on my mac, i’ll stick to analog.
My question-Since you’re loading a blank reel to be sent past the head and onto another reel, you need another blank reel for every reel, no? Or can you just send that tape back to the original reel, after it’s on the take up reel?
Sorry if i’m confusing, I have no clue as to the workings of this.
I would make that same assumption based on the old 8mm projectors we use to use. The film can only contained one reel, the Take up reel was kept on the projector.
